The next Parish Pastoral Assembly meeting will be held in St. Erc’s Oratory after 7pm mass on Aug. 27th. The main item on the agenda is “Clustering of Parishes”
Bishop Tom Deenihan has said that he doesn’t envisage any churches closing their doors. He has asked the PPA to look at how Priests, resources and schedules could be best used to ensure that sacraments etc are available to all.
Ultimately it will be the Bishop who will make the final decision. If you wish to make any observations on this matter, please contact slaneparish@gmail.com
The Singing Group will resume practice on Wednesday 28th August 2024 from 8pm to 9pm in St. Erc’s Oratory. New members are always welcome. We practice most Wednesday evenings and generally sing at the 11am Mass in Slane on a fortnightly basis. Please come and join in - or if you’re in the congregation, we love to hear you sing with us!

First Friday Calls The sick & housebound are attended every First Friday. Please let Fr. Matthews know if you wish to be included or perhaps a family member, even for a short time.
Note Please check with the priest before booking a wedding venue to make sure the priest & church are available before committing to your choice of place for your reception.
Graves; - there has been an increase in recent weeks of waste material been taken from graves & left behind headstones. Please take whatever is taken of your graves home with you.
The Holy Rosary will take place after 9am mass on weekdays.
